21 Sep Cheesy Garlic & Herb Butter Baguettes
NEVER make just ONE of these! Full of cheesy goodness and tons of garlic and herb butter!
You will need:
1 baguette
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
½ stick butter, at room temperature
1⁄3 cup strong cheese, grated (such as Appenzeller)
3 tablespoons fresh herbs, finely chopped (such as parsley and rosemary)
- Heat the oven to 380°F.
- Use a knife to make lots of deep cuts across the baguette, but without cutting the bread all the way through.
- Combine the softened butter with the grated cheese, herbs, and garlic.
- Fill the pockets of the baguette with the herb butter.
- Wrap the bread with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
TIP:
Wrap some waxed paper or a piece of a page from an old book or newspaper around these loaves and tie with some twine for a delightful serving idea!
